I have now been taking this Acai powder for almost 3 weeks. I am impressed that it lives up to some of the hype. It’s not a miracle weight-loss substance, by any means, but it DOES curb my appetite (impressive since I wasn’t eating THAT much before) and helps me avoid my diet pitfalls that come from bad cravings. I suppose that is the reason why I have lost a couple stubborn pounds when previously I was stuck on a plateau. Of course, the appetite control is in addition to the health benefits of its antioxidant value and fiber. Overall, I’d recommend this product and would buy it again myself. The only drawback (and why I didn’t give it 5 stars) is the taste – I got one container for me and one for my mom – I don’t think it’s TOO bad, but Mom can barely swallow it no matter what she tries it in. If you’re used to strong-tasting, rather unpleasant natural supplements, it’s no worse than others (fish oil, anyone?), but if you’re not, I can see where this powder would be almost unusable. So just proceed with caution, and if you’re not sure you can handle the unpleasant taste/texture, I’d go with the pill form.

I’ve been taking this acai powder for almost a year now and I love it! It is well worth paying the price and getting used to the taste. As a nurse working late into the evening, I would often wake up feeling achy and exhausted. While I still sometimes am tired, the achy body/legs have pretty much gone away. I take much less motrin than I used to. I also find that I get sick a lot less. Even when I get a rare cold, the symptoms are less severe and clear up quickly. When my husband takes it regularly, his skin clears up beautifully. I tried other brands and did not get the same results as with amazon thunder. Every morning I add it to my cereal or oatmeal and have gotten used to the taste. I highly recommend it to others to try!!

I add some of this every morning to my oatmeal – it adds a nice flavor (hard to describe) and I feel better when I take it.

I did not believe this product did anything good. Now at the end of the use of my first purchase I may be changing my mind. I am ordering another Acai container by Amazon Thunder and I will give it another chance. RWT

This product was not good at all. The taste was terrible. The one positive thing it did have me do was have my fruit in the early afternoon because for my snake I made a smoothie with it. It gave it a wierd taste, but I can handle it.
